Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: South Carolina
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours (07:30 AM - 04:00 PM)
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on providing excellent patient care in a teaching hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and experience in wound care, specializing in managing complex wound conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement wound care treatment protocols for patients across various age groups.
- Utilize wound care supplies and technologies, including negative pressure wound therapy and various dressing types.
- Educate patients and families on wound care management and best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system (Epic).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or pending application.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care nursing.
- Wound Care Certification (WOCN) is required; continence certification not necessary.
- BLS Certification.
