Full-Time / Temporary Opportunity

Weekly Pay

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting dependable individuals for Fire Watch positions with a local company.

This position is responsible for monitoring work areas where welding, cutting, grinding, or other hot work is being performed to help prevent fires and maintain a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor designated work areas during welding, cutting, grinding, and other hot-work activities
Watch closely for sparks, flames, smoke, or other potential fire hazards
Keep the work area clear of combustible materials
Maintain access to fire extinguishers and other emergency equipment
Immediately report unsafe conditions or signs of fire
Follow all company and job-site safety procedures
Remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift
Continue monitoring the area after hot work is completed as required
Communicate effectively with welders, supervisors, and other team members

Skills Required

Must be able to stand on your feet for the entire shift
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings
Ability to remain focused and alert for extended periods
Dependable and safety-minded
Ability to follow verbal and written safety instructions
Good communication skills
Comfortable working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Ability to walk and move around the work area as needed

Experience Required

Previous industrial, manufacturing, construction, or safety experience is helpful but may not be required
Fire Watch or hot-work safety experience is a plus
Must be willing to follow all required PPE and safety guidelines
Reliable attendance is essential
