Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current NC State SLP License and Educator Certification (required)
• Thorough working knowledge and hands-on experience with a wide range of AAC/Speech Generating Devices
• Direct experience with high school aged students, especially those with multiple and severe disabilities
• Collaborative spirit and adaptability
• SLP-CFYs and SLPAs are not eligible for this role

Responsibilities:

• Provide AAC support and assistance, focusing on individualized and group consultation rather than direct therapy
• Cooperate closely with another on-site SLP and school staff
• Document student progress and help maintain compliance with support plans
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students with extensive medical and communication needs
