A growing construction and mechanical services organization in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Estimator to join its team. This full-time on-site role offers a salary range of $75,000–$115,000, depending on experience, along with flexibility and long‑term growth potential. This Estimator will work closely with leadership, project teams, customers, and vendors to prepare project estimates, review plans/specifications, coordinate pricing, and support ongoing project opportunities. The role combines office‑based estimating work with occasional site visits and customer meetings. The ideal Estimator candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders. This is an in‑person, on-site position in Buffalo, NY. Responsibilities Prepare detailed project estimates and bid proposals Review plans, specifications, and project scope documents Coordinate pricing with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers Participate in customer meetings and project site visits Collaborate with project managers and operations teams throughout the estimating process Maintain organized project documentation and bid tracking Assist with project handoff and operational coordination after award Utilize estimating software and tools, including AutoBid where applicable Qualifications 3+ years of estimating, construction, or project‑related experience preferred Mechanical, HVAC, piping, or construction industry experience preferred but not required Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable interacting with customers, vendors, and field personnel Experience with AutoBid or estimating software is helpful but can be trained What Makes Someone Successful in This Role Strong ownership mentality and ability to work independently Organized and detail‑oriented Comfortable balancing office work with field/customer interaction Strong problem‑solving and communication skills Team‑oriented with a collaborative mindset Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $75,000–$115,000, depending on experience PTO and paid sick time Healthcare benefits Stable organization with long‑term growth opportunities Family‑oriented work environment Supportive leadership with minimal micromanagement Schedule & Location Full‑time position Monday–Friday Typical hours approximately 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Approximately 75% office / 25% field & customer meetings The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting that our client would be willing to pay for this position.
