Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Neuro PCU/IMC/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to up to six medical-surgical patients, specializing in neurology and neurosurgery.


• Monitor and manage patients with strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, brain and spinal cord tumors, and other neurological conditions.


• Perform long-term EEG monitoring for neurological assessments.


• Administer intravenous medications and manage drips, including insulin and heparin.


• Float to various units within the facility to meet staffing needs, including Bellevue campus, adhering to scope of practice.


• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC charting system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital setting.


• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; CPI and NIHSS preferred.


• Experience with EPIC charting system mandatory.


• Proficiency in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips.


• Familiarity with managing neurosurgical patients and related procedures.


• Must be nicotine-free, as facility adheres to a 100% nicotine-free policy.
