YARD HAND

Monday - Friday

7:00 am - 7:00 pm and

7:00 pm – 7:00 am, mandatory overtime

$15.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Works with the loaders and Supervisors to move trucks and trailers from one location to another, according to assignments
• Moves trucks and trailers as needed to complete the loading process
• Ensures the trailer or truck is completely loaded and secured before moving from the staging area
• Works with Management to ensure the proper equipment is staged for shipping
• Works closely with Maintenance to ensure any repairs are finished before using equipment
• Helps keep truck parking yard free of debris and trash
• Arranges trucks and trailers in the yard in an orderly and efficient manner
• Moves trucks and trailers for receiving, when needed
• Any other duties assigned by Lead Person or Supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
• Ability to maintain attendance record in accordance with company
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Demonstrate initiative to work independently, while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed
