Mcdowell Center For Children

Mcdowell Center is a 28-bed residential treatment facility located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for adolescent males experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Our staff is made up of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who offer 24-hour support for our patients. We provide young men with the skills they need to improve their thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes.

Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets. This position is estimated at 32 hours per week. 8 hours on Thursday to put away stock and 12 hours Saturday and 12 hours Sunday.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: Two (2) years' experience in quantity cooking, preferred; basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of food service food handler's permit as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.
