Facilities & Maintenance Manager

Location: SALT LAKE CITY, UT, 84104 Position Description The Facilities Manager will perform facilities project management, including repair/maintenance review, contractor solicitation and bid review, plan review for errors and omissions, construction/repair coordination, and warranty inspections. They will work within assigned budgetary parameters to ensure facility assets are maintained to brand standards, exercising independent judgment and providing consultative advice to internal and external stakeholders in facilities maintenance project management. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Consult with restaurant operators to identify repair or maintenance requirements for critical items, including HVAC, fryers, ovens, make tables, and walk‑in coolers. Manage all major repairs and bid phases to complete project repair/replacement in a timely and cost‑effective manner. Manage contractors and vendors, coordinating repairs/replacements with operators and contractors as needed. Manage region‑wide equipment replacement initiatives. Conduct de‑identification and reuse/reallocation of equipment to existing stores. Conduct re‑image design and SOW surveys. Assess and develop preferred vendor programs (national/regional) and provide alternate vendor options. Conduct and manage warranty inspections. Approve payment for all repair/maintenance‑related projects and services within budgetary parameters. Review and negotiate change orders on behalf of the client. Exercise independent, sound judgment to make fact‑based decisions. Track and record projected and actual costs for historical data analysis, maintaining 100% reporting accuracy. Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in facilities management, HVAC, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, or related areas. Three to five years of experience in all phases of commercial/multi‑unit facilities management. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in overall project management and job scheduling. Other Skills and Abilities Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to develop and follow processes. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, internal and external customers, company management, and colleagues. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including constructive use of e‑mail. Ability to work independently from written and/or verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and comfort in a fast‑paced environment. Travel up to 50% required, including irregular hours as needed; position may be based in a field office or home office depending on geographic location. Reasonable proximity to a Tier1 airport is required.
