JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: Observation Unit

Shift Timings: 19:00-07:30 Hours. Monday to friday (3 Days/12 Hours)

Per Week: 36 Hours

Roles & Responsibilities

• Seeking an experienced RN with strong medical-surgical care for non-critically ill patients.
• Variable staffing grid to include: Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs).
• An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Minimum Qualifications

• EOW
• EOH
• Telemetry background required
• At least 1.5 yrs of med/surg experience
• No artificial/acrylic nails and nails must be short (<1/4 )
• May need to float to sites within 40 miles

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
• Active unencumbered Wisconsin RN state license
• One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
