Tech - IR/Special Procedures

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced IR/Special Procedures Tech for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with interventional radiology procedures and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform imaging procedures and assist physicians during interventional radiology and specialty procedures.
  
  
• 
  Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are properly sterilized and functioning.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation safety and infection control standards.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate procedures.
  
  
• 
  Document all procedures accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate flexibility in floating within scope of practice as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold ARRT certification and BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Possess applicable radiologic technologist licensure; VA license preferred but can start with pending authorization.
  
  
• 
  Have experience in IR or special procedures settings.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety and imaging techniques.
  
  
• 
  Maintain Nursys verification and provide required certifications and references.
  
  
• 
  Be able to comply with travel and work policies, including license and background checks.
