Automation TechnicianThe Automation Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining automated equipment and implementing new automation opportunities that will have a significant impact on safety, cost, and quality.ResponsibilitiesWork with internal customers on maintaining and troubleshooting all operating company automation systemsUtilize electrical, mechanical, and controls automation skills to enhance automation systemsLead aspects of automation projects including design and implementation to assure projects are completed on scheduleTrain the workforce on new technology and automation systemsCreate and document new processesMonitor performance and utilization of automation process implementationsSupport capital expenditure requests and implementationsDrive cross-company collaboration using similar automation equipmentSupport and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsRead, understand, and follow work instructions and standard workPartner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and financeUnderstand customer needs and the core business markets we serveEnsure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properlyQualificationsAssociates Degree in robotics, automation, controls, or a related field, or relevant experience1 year working with automation systems integrationAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks/projectsStrong problem-solving skillsMust be a self-starter, team player, and have a positive attitudeAbility to think creatively, drive results and stay focused on daily tasksProficient in Computer Design Tools such as SolidWorksMicrosoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)Clear and effective verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitaskAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentDesirable Criteria and QualificationsFamiliar with Human Machine Interface (HMI), motion control systems, Programmable Logic ControllersFamiliar with vision systems (Keyence, Cognex)Familiar with programming languages (Python, C++, Visual Basic, etc…)Familiar with various sensors/actuators (ITI, SMC, Robotiq)Familiar with Robotics (Fanuc, Yushin, Epson, UR, Collaborative Robots)Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizationsWhat is it like to work at Cretex Medical?We recognize the contribution of every individual and promote growth, safety and security for all our employees. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
