Collaborative Care Integrated Mental Health Therapist: Women Health OBGYN

Clinic locations: Puyallup, Kent, Auburn, and Gig Harbor Position Summary The Licensed Integrated Mental Health Therapist‑BHN is responsible for independently providing assessments, treatment and care planning, and psychosocial therapy within a primary care clinic setting for a diverse population of preventive, acute care, and chronic disease management patients. The incumbent uses a variety of theoretical treatment models and interventions and excellent communication skills to work within a primary‑care/chronic‑disease management team setting with limited supervision; documents treatment and communication in keeping with department standards and keeps current on community resources to effectively provide linkage and advocacy to fulfill clients’ needs. FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Day Responsibilities Assess patient symptoms and create a customized treatment plan based on individual patient needs. Screen patients for common behavioral health disorders using PHQ‑9, GAD‑7, Columbia Suicide Risk Assessment, or other tools as required. Monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects/complications, with a goal of symptom reduction. Support psychotropic medication management prescribed by PCPs, focusing on treatment adherence, side effects, complications, and effectiveness. Track patient follow‑up and clinical outcomes using a registry, and use the system to identify and re‑engage patients. Facilitate care plan changes for patients who are not improving, including changes in medications or psychosocial treatments or appropriate referrals for additional services. Manage behavioral health crises as they arise in a primary care setting. Provide flexible behavioral health services to patients on and off the current caseload, both through scheduled appointments and immediate interventions via warm handoffs during medical visits with primary care providers. Requirements Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field. Licensed as a Mental Health Professional as defined within HB 1724; one of the following higher credentials held: Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or SW Independent Clinical Lic (LICSW). Minimum two (2) years of experience in a behavioral health setting. According to pay transparency laws, the competitive compensation range for this position is $42.64 – $61.37 USD.
