Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalists - Night Shift

Job Description McLeod Regional Medical Center is seeking a Night Shift Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner. New Grads are welcome to apply. Licenses/Certifications/Registrations A valid SC RN License as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) verified by the LLR. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by approved accrediting agency. Prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply. Essential Job Responsibilities / Expectations Job responsibilities include those listed in competency document. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co‑workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Assists providers in assessing needs of patients based on data collected by reviewing electronic medical record, floor nursing staff and other MRMC staff involved in care delivery. Performs physical exams within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician. Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and healthcare needs. Records physical findings, formulates care plan and discusses cases with Physician to provide comprehensive patient care plan. Speaks with patients and families to address any concerns when requested. Maintains professional clinical knowledge required for licensure and completes required training according to deadline.
