Dockworker/Forklift Operator

Overview Position: XGS warehouse dockworker Monday-Friday 11pm Start Time $19.50/Hour Responsible for loading and unloading freight by hand or with a pallet jack/forklift, sorting product, and ensuring that trailers are properly and accurately loaded. Use a barcode scanner to maintain the service center dock as neat and orderly. Responsibilities Offload delivery trucks transporting merchandise into the warehouse. Load or unload by hand or with freight handling tools such as lift truck, pallet jack, or side cart. Use scanners to read barcodes on products. Scan barcode on freight and ensure each freight movement to rack, floor or loading door. View prompts on screens and follow directions for tasks. Verify shipping information from the scan unit to ensure freight is labeled for the correct destination. Receive and put away inventory. Confirm merchandise information matches the work order. Attach barcodes to freight for tracking and routing. Finalize the work order and update the database. Inspect merchandise for damage, flaws, and irregularities. Ensure product meets quality requirements. Report overage, shortages, and damages according to operating procedures. Sort and segregate freight by destination. Verify freight counts. Dock clean‑up as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications Minimum 6 months experience. Previous experience as a fulfillment associate. Knowledge of warehousing procedures an advantage. Ability to read and interpret written work orders. Strong attention to detail. Minimum age 18 years old. Meet minimum hiring criteria. Physical and Mental Requirements Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. Experience operating lift truck, pallet jack, or side cart desired. Frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds; pull up to 100 pounds and push up to 50 pounds. Occasionally climb stairs. Frequently stoop, kneel or crouch. Environment Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment with occasional exposure to site conditions. Personal protective equipment must be worn in all areas as required. Work may involve careful handling of onsite services.
