UTS - Temporary Clinic Nurse (RN, LPN, AEMT) (part-time) at UNC Chapel Hill Primary purpose: support clinical research studies by coordinating activities, administering meal tolerance tests, monitoring participant safety, and ensuring accurate execution of study protocols. Location and Schedule UNC Chapel Hill, NC. Work Schedule: 8 AM–5 PM (20 hours per week). Responsibilities Placement and accessing of IVs to allow for repeated blood collection. Clinical review and participant communication regarding safety assessments (eligibility and adverse events). Perform venipuncture as needed. Follow detailed study protocol and collect the nine timed samples via IV within a 3–5 minute window of the time target. Provide reminders and instructions to study participants according to the study protocol. Assist with other study activities to ensure successful completion of the study aims. Hold an active North Carolina license/certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT). Clinical experience in IV placement, venipuncture, blood collection, or related patient care activities preferred. Qualifications Active North Carolina license/certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT). Experience providing IV care and related clinical support. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact professionally and respectfully. Excellent computer skills and ability to learn and utilize various technology systems. Ability to provide high level of customer service and support while working with employees at all levels of the University. Proactive approach with ability to identify opportunities to assist, improve processes, and contribute to team success. Strong teamwork skills; ability to collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced environment. At least 6 months of previous experience with IV insertion and drawing blood.
