Ultrasound Vascular Technologist - Regular Part-Time - Day/Evening

Job Description:

1. PURPOSE OF JOB: To provide Vascular Ultrasound Service to insure good patient flow, quality procedures, adequate coverage and efficient/cost effective productivity.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


A. Maintain clinical knowledge Vascular Ultrasound Service.


B. Provide patient care for all of our customers by performing Ultrasound examinations as prescribed by a physician.


C. Patient Documentation and Departmental Records.



Job Qualifications:

1. QUALIFICATIONS:

A. All technologists shall have one year from their hire date to pass a certifying exam. This gives each technologist several chances to pass. Until passing the registry, technologist will understand that their continued employment is probationary. If these technologists do not pass an exam after a one-year period, they must resign/be terminated.


B. To be hired into the Ultrasound section, a technologist must be registered or board eligible. Board eligible means that a technologist must have graduated from an AMA approved, one-year minimum program and sitting for the next board. In order to pass the Boards, a technologist must pass two different sections (physics and one other specialty).


C. Other Skills: Good communication and customer service skills, current CPR
