Job Description\n Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Everett, Washington.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Candidates residing within 50–100 miles of the facility may be subject to a reduced rate or may not be accepted.\n Applicants must have worked in this unit or setting within the past year to be considered for this position. \n \n Job Title\n Registered Nurse – ICU (MICU)Location\n Everett, WA | Acute CareSchedule / Job Type\n Contract | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends RequiredKey Responsibilities\n \n Provide direct nursing care to medically complex, critically ill patients including those with respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, various shock states, ARDS, DKA, CVA post-tPA, and cardiac arrest with TTM\n Manage patients requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation in a high-acuity, fast-paced MICU environment\n Assist with and support bedside procedures including central and arterial line placements, chest tube placement, rapid sequence intubation, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and code blue response\n Maintain standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, with potential increase to 4:1 when boarding patients awaiting inpatient transfer\n Float to telemetry units as census requires; travelers must be prepared to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted facility — refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours\n Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records\n Required Qualifications\n \n Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission\n Minimum of 1 year of ICU/MICU experience required — first-time travelers not accepted\n Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS\n Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day\n Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible\n Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per two-week period\n Preferred Experience / Skills\n \n Experience caring for patients with COVID, ETOH withdrawal, and DKA in a critical care setting\n Familiarity with high-acuity procedures such as rapid sequence intubation and central/arterial line management\n Prior experience working in a Level II Trauma Center environment\n Why Join Us\n \n Work at a Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across campuses, offering exposure to a wide range of complex critical care cases\n Facility-paid parking provided for the duration of your assignment\n \n \n \n Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID #778330.
