API Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled API Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable application services and integration solutions that support AI/ML-driven business applications. This role focuses on developing API-based integration layers around predictive models and AI solutions, working closely with Data Science, AI, and business domain teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong application development experience in Python and/or Golang, combined with hands-on DevOps expertise in containerized environments. This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in design and development.

Required Qualifications

• Software Engineer 3: 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Software Engineer 4: 7+ years of software engineering experience Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor team members while remaining hands-on

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain API-driven application services.
• Build integration layers that connect business applications with AI/ML and predictive analytics solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science teams to operationalize machine learning models.
• Develop scalable backend services using Python and/or Golang.
• Design and implement REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Deploy and support containerized applications in cloud-native environments.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical guidance on application design.
• Partner with stakeholders across Data Science, Tachyon, and Data Domain Owner teams to deliver business solutions.
• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of deployed services.

• Data-focused engineers without application development experience

We Need Background In:

• Strong API engineering and backend application development expertise
• Experience building production-grade services around AI/ML capabilities
• Cloud-native application development experience
• Combination of software engineering, integration engineering, and DevOps skills
• Experience working in cross-functional environments supporting AI-driven business solutions

Core Technical Skills:

• Programming Languages
• Strong experience with Python and/or Golang (Golang preferred)
• Additional experience with Java is beneficial
• Must have significant application development experience; not seeking pure Java developers
• Application & API Development

Strong Experience Building Scalable Applications And Services Using:

• Python
• FastAPI
• Django
• Flask
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Expertise building integration layers connecting business applications with AI/ML solutions
• Strong full-stack development background preferred (UI development is not required)
