Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department
• Manage and care for patients presenting with trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and stroke, including TPA administration
• Administer and monitor all common drips associated with a Level I Trauma environment
• Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
• Float to the OBS unit and a freestanding ER location at least once per week as needed
• Maintain established nurse-to-patient ratios across zones, Fast Track, OBS, and ICU/Trauma areas

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Recent Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Ability to pass a post-orientation skills assessment with a minimum score of 90%
• Must comply with facility infection control policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• Experience in a Pediatric-certified or Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
• Familiarity with Fast Track, OBS, and multi-zone ED workflows
