Medstar Health is looking foraComputed Tomography (CT) Technologistto joinourteam! This is a Medstar Union Memorial Hospital has provided safe, high-quality, compassionate care to its community for more than 160 years. Located in northeast Baltimore City, MedStar Union Memorial is a regional specialty and teaching hospital. It is known for The Curtis National Hand Center, MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute, MedStar Orthopedic Institute, and the development of the first hospital-based sports medicine program in the country.
We are looking foranAmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board(NMTCB) certified individual withknowledge of cross-sectional anatomy. This is a Full-time position 40 hours per week, and the schedule isWed. 10:30a-11p, Th & Fri 7p-7:30a
TheCT Technologistwillproducecomputerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas, such asabdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetric, and gynecology.

Primary Duties:
Performs CAT Scan Radiology studies. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.Performs CT techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans,obstetricsand gynecology scans, radiation therapy localization for treatment planning, and minor surgical procedures.
Performs IV Access and contrast injections per departmental policy.
Requests and will ordersuppliesas necessary toalways keep materials on hand.
Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered. Ensures quality images.Selects andoperatesequipment as directed.
Transports patients to CAT Scan room; prepares andmaintainsroom for daily activities. Where applicable, refer to the competency validation documents for population(s) served.
Qualifications:
Training in computer-assisted tomography.
CTexperience orcompletion of a certified CT program.
ARRTor NMTCBlicense with required paperwork to perform diagnostic CTs on file with the state.
Basic Life Support(BLS).
Associate'sdegreepreferred.
