About the Position

Job Title: Endoscopy Technician Profession: Endoscopy Technician Specialty: Endoscopy Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 8.5 hours (7:15 AM - 3:45 PM, with a rotating day of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years License: Not specified Certifications: SGNA or CBSPD preferred, BLS required Must-Have: GI Technician Endoscopy experience, Olympus scope set-up, handling and reprocessing Description: Endoscopy Technician position available for a 40-hour work week. The shift is Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM, with a rotating day of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The unit features 8 procedural rooms, which include 3 for MAC and 5 for Conscious Sedation procedures. There are holding and recovery rooms available. The unit operates on weekdays and is on call for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will have experience as a GI Technician Endoscopy, with skills in Olympus scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing. The clinician to patient ratio in the rooms is 1:1, and 1:2-3 in the PACU. The patient population includes all age groups. The facility has 18 PACU bays and 8 procedural rooms. The average census for procedures is 60-70 per day. The electronic medical record (EMR) system used for charting is EPIC. Floating to other areas is not required, but rotating shifts may be necessary depending on the department's hours.
