Remote Medical Coder

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Medical Coder for a growing healthcare services organization. This is a fully remote direct hire opportunity for candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones .

POSITION OVERVIEW:


Scion Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to join a growing healthcare organization specializing in orthopedic revenue cycle services. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team dedicated to coding accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and assign accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services in accordance with coding guidelines.
• Ensure coding accuracy while maintaining compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to resolve coding-related questions and claim issues.
• Review clinical documentation to support accurate code assignment.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting established deadlines.
• Stay current on coding updates, payer guidelines, and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in medical coding within a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Orthopedic and/or surgery coding experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while managing multiple priorities.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $20.00/hour, with up to $22.00/hour based on relevant experience.
