Patient Access Rep

Patient Service Representative Responsible for answering patient calls and handling inquiries promptly, following protocols and service standards. Schedule appointments (in person or by phone), confirming details, and rescheduling or canceling as needed. Manage patient arrival and departure activities, collecting copays, obtaining insurance cards, signatures, and referrals, and updating records in the EMR. Communicate wait times and patient flow to both patients and staff. Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and benefits. Obtain pre-authorizations, referrals, and coordinate benefits. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain patient confidentiality and safety. Anticipate patient needs and resolve issues promptly. Build positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staff. Participate in a 4-day training program and complete necessary assessments. Complete a 15-minute training module on regulatory compliance.
