Electrician

What you'll be doing… Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on electrical components, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers, to ensure functionality. Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using advanced testing equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime. Collaborate with other trades within the facility, including boiler operators and HVAC technicians. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and material usage. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company, client, and governmental safety regulations. The right person has… High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training. At least 3-5 years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician. In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics. Experience with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. Team player mentality, willing to assist with other trades as needed. Journeyman or Master Electrician certification preferred, but not required. Experience in a pharmaceutical setting and/or knowledge of GMP practices is a plus. Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and integrated controls. Knowledge of low-voltage systems, including fire alarm, security, and data/telecom.
