Details > critical access, rural hospital with 25 beds Cross-functional ER, MedSurg, and Swing Bed unit Patient population includes dementia, dependent older adults, diabetes, rehab/restorative post-acute care, and geriatric patients Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8 utilizing a team nursing model RNs required to titrate drips including electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions RNs must independently read and interpret telemetry/monitor strips CNAs/Nurse Aides present on each shift to support care team Charge nurse present each shift, working within team assignments rather than individual patient loads EPIC EMR used for charting 12-hour night shifts scheduled 1845-0715 and 0645-1915 Every other weekend requirement Every other holiday requirement, as scheduled No call or standby requirement Floating required to support ER and MedSurg units Team and block scheduling available, with block scheduling upon request Requirements Active RN license (State or Compact/NLC) for the submitting state required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC Experience with dementia, stroke, and geriatric skin care required Comfort managing patient-managed CPAP equipment Ability to troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment Prior travel nursing experience not required Copy of driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care across ER, MedSurg, and Swing Bed units including initial trauma care, IV medication and fluid administration, wound care, and rehabilitation support Collaborate with charge nurses and CNAs as part of a team nursing care model Unit-specific orientation consists of 3 shifts Scrubs required, no specific color specified Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested upfront per 13-week contract; additional RTO requests will not be approved once submitted First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-747632.
