Job Summary:

The CT Scan Technologist conducts advanced computed tomography procedures to produce precise imaging for diagnosis and treatment. They ensure patient safety, gather relevant clinical information, and assist with interventional procedures as needed.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform complex CT imaging procedures utilizing advanced protocols and techniques.
  
  
• 
  Review and document patient's clinical history, ensuring accurate data entry into PACS and EPIC systems.
  
  
• 
  Identify and administer contrast media following physician prescriptions, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  
  
• 
  Prepare patients for scans by explaining procedures, ensuring proper positioning, and applying safety measures such as shielding.
  
  
• 
  Verify exam prescriptions, communicate with radiologists and physicians for clarifications, and ensure proper documentation.
  
  
• 
  Maintain patient and equipment safety during procedures, including venipuncture and IV management.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess at least 1 year of experience in CT imaging; 2 years preferred.
  
  
• 
  Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program with valid NJ Radiography License.
  
  
• 
  ARRT (R.T.(R)) certification required; ARRT (CT) certification preferred.
  
  
• 
  Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, PACS, and CT software/hardware fundamentals.
  
  
• 
  Mastery of EPIC EMR or similar health record systems is advantageous.
