Let’s change the world! In this vital role the Senior Manager, Global Insights to lead insights generation for TEPEZZA, the TED franchise pipeline, and support global commercialization planning. This role partners closely with global marketing, global value and access, competitive intelligence, forecasting, and other cross-functional teams to provide insights that inform global go-to-market strategy, early commercial planning, therapeutic area strategy, and advancement of the pipeline. The ideal candidate for this role will be strategically sharp and able to process large amounts of information into a clear picture to drive decision making. Brand-building knowledge is critical to the success of this role as it will be supporting Amgen’s vision for marketing excellence.ResponsibilitiesSupport Amgen’s advancement in marketing excellence through aligned insights generation and deep brand-building knowledgeBe the subject matter expert on HCP, patient, and payer insights for the brandClearly communicate insights and recommendations to variety of audiences, including senior leadership (e.g., Therapeutic Area Heads, Disease Area Strategy Leads), and become a 'devil's advocate' when neededSynthesize information from a variety of sources (e.g., market research, competitive intelligence, secondary data, advisory boards) to develop strategic insights that address business needsIntegrate insights and knowledge to facilitate workshops that support clinical development plans, lifecycle management and other strategic decisions - supporting critical go/no-go decisions and senior leadership presentationsPlan, design, and lead primary market research with a research agency for assets across various phases of the product lifecycle to enable strategic decision makingLead ad hoc strategic secondary analytics to inform strategic decisionsPartner with commercial leadership and cross-functional partners to define and prioritize objectives, budget and work plans to meet evolving business needsIdentify, evaluate, and manage relationships with best-in-class vendors and look for opportunities to innovate and advance capabilitiesSupport advancement of AI capabilities for insights generationEnsure that both routine and ad-hoc projects are in compliance with all Amgen SOPs and meet service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, and budgetWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Senior Manager we seek have these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of commercial insights or consulting experienceORMaster’s degree and 4 years of commercial insights or consulting experienceORBachelor’s degree and 6 years of commercial insights or consulting experienceORAssociate’s degree and 10 years of commercial insights or consulting experienceORHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of commercial insights or consulting experiencePreferred RequirementsDemonstrated exceptional business acumen, strategic / critical thinking skills, and ability to influence key decisionsProven ability to build and evolve brands through strategic insight generationExpertise in market research design, Jobs-to-Be-Done methodologies, identification of moments that matter, and translating deep human insights into compelling brand narratives and customer experiencesStrong understanding of marketing and marketing strategyAbility to independently extract, analyze, treat, and consolidate data from sources in formats with rigor and high level of accuracy and translate into actionable recommendationsExcellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior managementAbility to work collaboratively and adaptively in team-based, cross-functional environmentsAbility to balance a multitude of stakeholders and projects in parallelAbility to understand the complexities of the pharmaceutical marketWhat you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
