Western States Lodging and Management is looking for a Life Enrichment Assistant to help create engaging, meaningful experiences for our residents. You will support a variety of social, recreational, cultural, and religious programs designed to enhance the daily lives of our residents. What’s in it for you- Compensation & Benefits Competitive Pay - $15 - 16 hourly. The starting rate is based on experience and qualifications. Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefits What You’ll Do Assist the Recreation Director with planning, organizing, and executing a variety of recreational, social, cultural, and religious activities. Help develop and produce monthly activity calendars and periodic community newsletters featuring special events and resident-focused stories. Participate in and help lead activities such as games, crafts, outings, social events, and other resident programs. Set up, supervise, and clean activity areas before and after scheduled events. Provide encouragement and support to residents during activities while promoting safety, inclusion, and enjoyment. Manage activity supplies and equipment and help ensure materials are available and organized. Assist with scheduling resident outings and provide transportation support when needed, including occasional driving. Build positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and fellow associates. Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times. Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and coworkers. What Makes You Successful 0-1 year of experience in life enrichment, recreation, activities, senior living, hospitality, customer service, or a related field preferred. Current CPR certification required depending on the state. A genuine interest in working with and caring for seniors and/or individuals with disabilities. A positive, patient, dependable, and compassionate approach to working with residents. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, sit, and reach.
