The Service Advisor educates customers on their vehicle’s maintenance needs, and serves as the customer’s point of contact in the Service Department, ensuring a positive experience throughout the service process. Core Responsibilities Schedule, confirm and prepare for customer appointments, ensuring an efficient service experience. Determine vehicle needs based on customer feedback, vehicle inspection, and current mileage and recommend additional services for optimal vehicle performance. Create repair orders for customers, including cost and time estimates, with full transparency. Communicate regularly with technicians and parts associates to ensure timely completion of work. Prioritize required services and monitor the progress of vehicle repair throughout the day, keeping customers informed throughout the repair process. Follow-up with customers upon completion of services to ensure customer satisfaction, addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Desired Qualifications and Experience Previous automotive service advisor/writer experience is required. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, both in person and over the phone. Ability to articulate vehicle service needs in a way that is easy for the customer to understand. Demonstrates good time management and organizational skills. Proven ability to achieve sales goals. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Hours and Work Environment Our Service Department is open Monday — Friday from 7AM to 6PM and Saturday from 7AM to 5PM. We ask that all applicants have the availability to work any of the days and times listed above. This is an onsite position, and requires working both indoors and outdoors.
