Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 / hour (Based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time (Overtime available)

Location: Barnesville, OH (Servicing regional commercial project sites)

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Grading & Erosion Control Crew Leader to run heavy machinery and lead a solid field team on high-impact civil and commercial projects.

• Run Great Equipment: Direct, daily operation of modern excavators, loaders, skid steers, and advanced seeding equipment.

What You Will Do:

As our Field Crew Leader, you are the go-to person on-site, balancing heavy equipment operation with supervising a small, hard-working field team.

• Lead the Crew: Direct daily tasks for 2–4 technicians and subcontractors on civil, commercial, and restoration job sites.
• Operate Machinery: Safely operate excavators, skid steers, and loaders for site grading, demolition, and stormwater management systems.
• Install Project Features: Oversee and assist with heavy erosion control, hydroseeding, commercial mulch blowing, and stream/wetland restoration.
• Keep Sites Safe & Organized: Maintain a clean, professional job site while enforcing strict OSHA and company safety standards.
• Track Daily Progress: Use quick digital tools on your phone or tablet to log crew hours, equipment usage, and materials used.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience: 2–3 years in commercial landscaping, civil dirt work, excavation, or environmental construction.
• Machinery Skills: Proven, hands-on experience operating mid-to-large excavators and skid steers safely on uneven terrain.
• Leadership: 1+ years of experience leading a field crew, landscape team, or construction shift preferred.
• License: Valid Driver's License required (A DOT Medical Card or Class A/B CDL is a massive plus).
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Working Conditions & Schedule:

This is a 100% outdoors, physically active role. You must be comfortable working on uneven terrain in changing Ohio weather conditions (heat, mud, cold, rain) and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Early morning start times and occasional weekend flexibility are required to keep our commercial projects moving on schedule.
