Distribution Office Clerk (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Bridgeton, NJ

Schedule: MondayFriday, 1st Shift (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $19/hour

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Distribution Office Clerk to support daily warehouse and shipping operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate order processing, shipment coordination, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clerical support to warehouse and distribution operations
• Process outbound LTL and international sales orders
• Quote volume shipments with carriers and determine optimal routing
• Maintain daily facility order tracking reports
• Organize and maintain shipping documentation and records
• Update customer shipping details in TMS systems and portals
• Serve as a liaison between warehouse and customer service teams
• Assist in resolving shipping issues with transportation providers
• Process Will Call orders and coordinate pickup logistics
• Organize truckload orders, release/queue picking tickets, and prepare paperwork
• Create UPS shipping labels using WorldShip
• Generate packing lists and ensure order accuracy
• Identify shipment discrepancies and help resolve issues
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment
• Support additional warehouse tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Familiarity with TMS systems (preferred)
• Experience with scan guns (preferred)
• Knowledge of Bills of Lading (BOL)
• Experience with UPS WorldShip strongly preferred
• Strong basic math and problem-solving skills
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team-oriented with a proactive, "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
