Pay Information

• Base Rate: $17.16/hour

• Weekend Rate: $18.16/hour

Job Overview

Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of Apis Services , is currently seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSPs) at our residential program in Demarest, NJ .

In this role, you will provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, helping them build daily living skills, independence, and confidence in a supportive residential setting.

Responsibilities

Direct Support Professional provide assistance, supervision, mentoring, and guidance to residents. Responsibilities include supporting individuals with:

• Daily living skills (cooking, housekeeping, hygiene)

• Health and wellness (personal medical care, healthy living)

• Community participation (shopping, recreation, and activities)

• Social and emotional development (coping skills, communication, friendships)

• Budgeting and money management

• Building independence, dignity, and autonomy

Your work directly contributes to improving quality of life and fostering meaningful independence.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years or older

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to pass:

  • State and Federal criminal background checks

  • Drug screening

  • Pre-employment physical and PPD

• Willingness to complete all required orientation and pre-service training
