Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required Must-Have: Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, stroke-certified, and STEMI-certified facility preferred Description: Candidates must be comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma management, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care. The nursing staff ratio is 1:3.5. Experience with EPIC documentation is preferred. Float requirements stipulate coverage every other or every third weekend. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. The department cares for diverse patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census in the unit is approximately 210 patients. This position requires teamwork with interdisciplinary support, including respiratory services and pharmacy. Candidates must provide two professional references, with at least one from a manager or formal leader. Education must be from an accredited nursing program. All candidates must complete required credentialing processes in a timely manner. Travelers and local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
