Customer Service Associate – Walgreens Base pay range: $15.00/hr – $17.50/hr Responsibilities Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Register sales on assigned cash register and provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience. Showcase customer service best practices to all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits. Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers. Recommend items for sale to customers, including trade‑up and companion items. Process returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. Maintain counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records. Check in and price merchandise as required or directed by store manager or shift leader. Implement company asset protection procedures. Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (alcoholic beverages and tobacco). Construct and maintain displays for promotional and seasonal merchandise. Assist with separation of food items and product placement as per policy. Perform first‑in, first‑out stock rotation and restocking. Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment. Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo, poster print, and machine services. Handle web pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, pick items, and deliver to customers upon arrival). Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, orderly store condition. Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers. Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned. Training & Personal Development Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager or assigned by corporate. Basic Qualifications Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. Preferred Qualifications Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment. Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
