Patient Access Specialist, Emergency Room (Full Time Nights)

Hiring an experienced Patient Access Specialist for our Camp Bowie, TX freestanding ER. Handle patient registration, medical front desk, insurance verification, EMR data entry, and customer service in a fast paced emergency room. Job Type: Full-Time Nights

Shifts: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Shift Commitment: Must be able to work night shifts.

Pay Rate: Depending on Experience plus Shift Differentials

What You Will Do

• Welcome patients and complete check in, registration, and front desk duties
• Complete medical insurance verification, eligibility checks, and demographic entry
• Communicate with patients and families during high stress situations
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR or EPM system
• Coordinate paperwork and collaborate with clinical teams for smooth patient flow
• Manage phone calls, patient questions, and follow up needs
• Maintain a professional, organized front desk environment

Required Experience

• One to two years of medical insurance verification experience
• Two to three years of medical customer service or front desk experience
• Experience with EMR or EPM systems and MS Office
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association within sixty days
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be flexible for night weekends and holidays
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Comfortable working in a fast paced emergency room environment
