Position Overview

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon to join our established team at Winter Haven Hospital, in Winter Haven FL , consisting of two Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeons and four advanced practice providers.

This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a growing community while also playing a key role in program development, including collaboration on the design and development of two new operating rooms and helping to build a high-performing surgical team.

The selected candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, performing complex procedures, managing pre-operative and post-operative care, and contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board Certification in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery.
• Completion of an accredited residency and fellowship program in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery.
• Valid medical license in Florida or eligibility for licensure.
• Proven experience in performing complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.
