Senior Lead Software Engineer Manager - AI/ML Platforms

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Proficiency in application development and support across technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of site reliability engineering principles and how to apply them to an application or platform.
• Experience leading production incident calls and coordinating incident resolution.
• Experience with observability, including white- and black-box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Strong understanding of SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets.
• Proficiency in Python or PySpark for AI/ML modeling.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to set expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Ability to reduce toil by building tools that automate repetitive tasks.
• Hands-on experience in system design, resiliency, testing, operational stability, and disaster recovery.
• Understanding of network topologies, load balancing, and content delivery networks.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant usage and controls.
• Preferred: 10 or more years in an SRE or production support role involving AWS Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
• Preferred: AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks certifications.
• Awareness of risk controls and compliance with departmental and company-wide standards.
• Ability to collaborate with teams and build productive working relationships.

• Coordinate incident management coverage to support effective resolution of application issues.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and implement production changes.
• Mentor and guide team members, supporting innovation and strategic change.
• Promote adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident analysis.
• Establish measurable validation standards for AI-assisted work, including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing, and encourage reuse of proven patterns and automation across the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
• Apply software development lifecycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale.
• Develop and support AI/ML solutions for troubleshooting and incident resolution.
