What You'll Do

• Provide general orthopedic surgical care, including management of wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, as well as I&D procedures.
• Manage a low volume of 0-3 consults per day and 0-2 visits for ED reductions or admissions.
• Perform surgeries related to fractures, trauma stabilization, and transfer as needed.
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage, adhering to on-call stipulations.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Document procedures and patient interactions in hospital systems.
• Contribute to hospital on-call duties within a 20-minute proximity on a flexible schedule.

What You Need

• Required:
• Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery
• Active North Carolina medical license
• NC DEA registration
• Must be vaccinated
• Credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS
• Preferred:
• Previous locum or hospital-based orthopaedic experience
• Ability to perform common trauma procedures
