Food Safety Specialist

Conduct assessments measuring conformity to regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards Observe food preparation and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices Partner with clients to identify root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans Teach and coach clients to create safer and healthier workplaces Conduct audits and inspections Implement and monitor food safety practices Train and educate staff Investigate food safety incidents Ensure compliance with regulations Maintain documentation and records Travel 50%-70%, or 8-10 days per month, including some evening and weekend work Requirements Meet the requirements to obtain a CP-FS certification Available to work Monday-Friday, Saturdays, and evenings as needed Valid driver’s license from state of residence Licenses/certificates required by federal, state, and/or local regulations Strong knowledge of food safety preferred ServSafe and/or CP-FS certifications are a plus Ability and desire to influence others with tact and skill Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback positively Ability to work autonomously Ability to work a flexible schedule Ability to organize and prioritize work based on urgency and efficiency Excellent listening, organization, communication, and time management skills Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in food safety practices, regulatory compliance, and effective training methodologies.
