Job Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to plan fabrication steps. Perform layout and fit‑up of parts for custom assemblies. Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal components using saws, shears, plasma cutters, torches, brakes, rollers, grinders, drills, and other fabrication equipment. Fit and weld metal parts together using MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding processes to complete projects accurately and efficiently. Inspect finished work to ensure quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, follow all shop safety standards, and assist with material handling, equipment maintenance, and project setup as needed. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines, resolve fabrication challenges, and contribute to a culture of open communication, problem‑solving, and a positive attitude. Requirements High School Diploma or GED; technical training or certification in welding or metal fabrication preferred. Minimum five (5) years of work experience in a fabrication shop, including at least two (2) years in custom metal fabrication and welding as a millwright, welder, or fabricator. Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding; experience with aluminum and stainless steel is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods; heavy tasks may include lifting up to 60 pounds. Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. Onsite at our Fremont, NE location; drug screen required.
