Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide specialized cardiac care in a stepdown unit. This role involves managing adult to geriatric patients with various cardiac and surgical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Monitor and assess patients' cardiac status, including arrhythmias and responses to medications.
  
  
• 
  Administer and manage infusion therapies such as cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to patient needs, including arrhythmia management, cardioversion, and stabilization.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care interventions accurately using electronic medical records.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on condition management and post-discharge care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license in Georgia or a compact state.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or adult cardiac stepdown experience.
  
  
• 
  Certified in BLS and ACLS.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with cardiac medications, drips, and arrhythmia management.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work independently, efficiently, and in a fast-paced environment.
  
  
• 
  Capable of managing a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio within a 32-bed unit.
