Travel Surgical First Assistant - Cardiac Specialty
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Shift: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Job Description: The Surgical First Assistant will focus on cardiac surgery, providing essential support in the operating room. The role requires a thorough understanding of both endoscopic and open-heart procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical procedures such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and aorta repair.
- Utilize skills in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting and Open Heart First Assist.
- Provide support during surgical operations and ensure a sterile environment.
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- At least 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience, preferably utilizing Terumo or Maquet equipment.
- A minimum of 2 years of Open Heart First Assist experience.
- Required Certifications: CSFA, CFA, or SA-C.
