As a Seasonal Recreation Aide with the City of Pharr, you will play a pivotal role in supervising exciting seasonal programs and activities, including our vibrant aquatic program. Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you inspect facilities for potential hazards, ensuring a safe environment for all participants. In this dynamic position, you will also be responsible for promptly reporting any broken equipment to the appropriate supervisor, maintaining the integrity of our programs. Additionally, your customer-centric skills will shine as you answer telephone inquiries and provide valuable information regarding athletic and recreation programs, as well as registration details. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions sufficient to be able to establish a safe environment for recreation and athletic program participants.
• Knowledge of fundamentals and techniques of athletics fitness cultural/social activities and/or arts and crafts sufficient to be able to perform a variety of duties related to the work assignment.
• Ability to develop and administer recreation and athletic programs suited to the needs of the community.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the working environment and with those contacted in the course of work.
