Job Overview The Market Engagement Lead – Community Impact & Investment in New Orleans leads community investment initiatives in the South Central region. The role aligns business strategy with social impact, coordinates market research, and builds partnerships to advance socioeconomic mobility. The position requires up to 30% travel and may involve events and conferences outside normal business hours. Key Responsibilities Gather Market Intelligence: identify and engage key community leaders, conduct research and market scans, and build relationships with nonprofits, activists, small‑business leaders, policymakers, and CDFI partners in the South Central region and beyond. Transform Market Intelligence Into Tangible Impact: create presentations and reports for CI&I and other business lines; partner with analytics and business teams to write proposals for new market investments; manage existing partner relationships and grant programs; report on community presence, sentiment, and the mobilization of Capital One resources. Collaborate across the enterprise to monitor and evaluate opportunities and risks related to community impact initiatives. Attend events, conferences, and overnight trips as required to build community connections and advocate for inclusive investment strategies. Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or valid military experience. At least 4 years of experience in project management, process management, or project delivery. At least 4 years of experience managing products or programs within community impact, public affairs, market engagement, or social impact. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in a for‑profit organization. Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification. At least 5 years of experience working with nonprofits or startups on large‑scale social impact projects. At least 3 years of experience in budget management. Experience in financial services, technology, government, nonprofit, or other regulated industries. Proven ability to assess program effectiveness through data analysis and performance metrics. Experience expanding products or programs across diverse business sectors or geographic regions. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on clarity, persuasion, and data‑driven storytelling. Compensation & Benefits Full‑time salary ranges for Metairie, LA: $138,100 – $157,700. Performance‑based incentive compensation may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
