Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of diagnostic radiography exams, using appropriate technical factors and equipment, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Apply correct positioning and immobilization techniques, verify patient identity and exam preparations, and maintain sterile technique as required.
• Safely transport, transfer, and reposition patients; monitor patient condition and safety; avoid hazardous situations and do not leave a patient unattended if safety is in question.
• Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment, conduct QA on films and equipment, review daily exam schedules for corrections or cancellations, and ensure exams are completed and transmitted (including teleradiology) per protocol.
• Adhere to infection control principles, maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA, document and archive imaging studies, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification (RT(R)) and ARRT(R) registration is required.
• Enrolled in an ARRT-approved program.
• CPR certification Healthcare Provider (HCP) level required within three months of hire.
• Ability to perform radiography in a home healthcare setting and to work in the listed assignment environment.
