Physical Therapy Aide – Lafayette Physical Therapy, Inc. – Lafayette, CA Join our wonderful team and gain experience in a Physical Therapy office! We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to assist our physical therapy practice in patient care, clinic duties, and efficiently run the clinic. The role requires a full‑time 40‑hour week and works Monday–Thursday 7am–7pm and Friday 7am–6pm. Candidates who can work alternative shift patterns (e.g., 4×10‑hour shifts or 3×10‑hour and 2×5‑hour shifts) are welcome. Responsibilities Assist with patient flow in and out of the clinic. Set up modalities including heat/ice, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, light therapy, ClassIV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy, and traction. Under supervision of the Therapist, assist with therapeutic exercises, provide instruction, and report patient responses to treatments. Maintain appropriate levels of stock and supplies. Keep clinic clean and orderly—cleaning, prepping rooms and treatment tables, equipment, dusting, laundry, stocking forms, filing. Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations (training provided). Attend staff meetings and in‑services regularly. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Good customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, be self‑directed while prioritizing tasks. Ability to judge good body mechanics and a minimum of one anatomy, physiology, or kinesiology class at high‑school or college level. Current or planned enrollment in a related clinical field (bachelor’s degree or higher) is a plus. Experience in a clinical setting, exercise instruction, or modality setup is beneficial. Personal training, Pilates, or other fitness certification is a plus. Schedule & Working Hours Minimum 40 hours available per week. Preferred availability 7am–7pm Monday–Thursday, 7am–6pm Friday. Typical schedule: alternative week of four 10‑hour shifts or three 10‑hour plus two 5‑hour shifts; Saturday shift may be available.
