Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide preoperative care in a surgical center environment. The RN will support a fast-paced setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the preoperative process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition and review medical histories to develop personalized preoperative plans.
• Prepare surgical patients by explaining procedures and addressing questions to reduce anxiety.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV skills and surgical care, including robotic procedures.
• Maintain sterile scrubbing techniques and assist during procedures as needed.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, charge nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless patient flow.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active, unexpired RN license with a valid driver's license copy required for submission.
• Possess BLS certification and prior experience in surgical or preop settings.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, preoperative protocols, and EMR utilization (Sunrise, Epic upcoming).
• Exhibit strong IV skills, with the ability to adapt to robotic and complex surgical cases.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Capable of responding to call within 30 minutes and floating across units as needed.
