Position: Preschool Teacher Location: Jefferson Village School, Jefferson, ME Reports To: Early Childhood Program Director / Principal Posting Date: 3/2/26 Application Deadline: When a suitable candidate is found Position Summary Jefferson Village School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our Early Childhood team. This role focuses on fostering a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 3–5. The Preschool Teacher will collaborate with colleagues to implement curriculum, support social‑emotional growth, and engage families in the learning process. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement daily lessons aligned with early childhood standards. Support children’s cognitive, social‑emotional, and physical development. Maintain classroom routines, safety, and organization. Collaborate with staff, families, and administration. Assess and document children’s progress and communicate with families. Qualifications Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education (Endorsement 081 or 282B). Experience with preschool‑aged children preferred. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Commitment to inclusive, equitable, and developmentally appropriate practices. First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
