Maintenance mechanic

A manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with electrical and mechanical experience to support the reliability and performance of packaging and bottling equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations while complying with GMPs, safety standards, and company procedures. salary: $62,400 - $83,200 per year

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging and bottling lines and related production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues on fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyors, wrappers, and related automated equipment.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting including control circuits, sensors, motors, drives, and basic PLC-related diagnostics.
• Inspect, adjust, and replace mechanical and electrical components to maintain equipment performance.
• Support equipment setup, changeovers, startups, and line adjustments.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to reduce downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Production and Operations teams to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Follow all safety procedures, GMP requirements, and sanitation standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime and equipment performance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance workspace.
