Job Description

Job Description

Start at $20/hour, plus tips, monthly bonuses, and overtime - with raises up to $25/hour and a real path to running your own crew.

2 College Brothers Moving & Storage in Gainesville is hiring experienced Movers, Drivers, and Crew Chiefs who take pride in doing the job right and treating people - customers and teammates - the way they'd want to be treated. If you show up, work hard, and lead by example, there's room here to grow.

We're a Christian-owned, family-operated company, and our faith shows up in how we work - honest effort, keeping our word, and treating every customer and crew member with respect.

What You'll Do

• Run moves from start to finish - set the pace, lead your crew, and keep the job moving safely and on schedule.
• Drive our trucks to and from job sites, with pre-trip and post-trip inspections to keep everything road-ready.
• Load, unload, pad, and secure furniture and belongings so everything arrives exactly the way it left.
• Be the face of the company on-site - keep customers in the loop, answer their questions, and leave them impressed.
• Handle the curveballs - tight doorways, heavy or awkward pieces, last-minute changes - without losing your cool.
• Keep the paperwork straight: inventory sheets, job logs, and customer sign-offs.
• Help train and bring up newer movers so the whole crew gets better.

What We're Looking For

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Moving and/or driving experience. For Crew Chief candidates: leadership experience, or the drive and attitude to grow into it.
• The stamina and capability for physical work (please read before applying)
  • Lift and carry 25-75 lbs on your own, and team-lift items over 75 lbs.
  • Stay on your feet, walking and climbing stairs, for up to 8-12 hours.
  • Go up and down truck ramps, stairs and loading docks repeatedly while carrying weight.
  • Work on uneven ground, in tight spaces, and outdoors in heat and rain.
  • Bend, squat, kneel, twist, and reach overhead throughout the day.
  • Keep your footing and balance while carrying an item you may not be able to see over.

• Strong communication and a genuine customer-first attitude.
• A cool head and quick thinking when problems pop up.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekdays and some weekends.
• Able to pass a drug test and background check.

What You Get

• Starts at $20/hour , with raises up to $25/hour as you gain experience and prove yourself - plus overtime opportunities.
• Tips - and they add up fast.
• Monthly performance bonuses.
• Gym membership reimbursement.
• A clear path into Crew Chief and higher leadership roles as you prove yourself.
• A team that has your back, and work that's never the same two days in a row.
